Pablo Picasso was one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century, whose work transformed modern art through continual experimentation across painting, sculpture, printmaking and ceramics.

Born in Málaga in 1881, Picasso worked primarily in France and became a central figure in the development of Cubism alongside Georges Braque. Across a career spanning more than seven decades, his work moved fluidly through periods of radical invention, shifting between abstraction, figuration, mythology, portraiture and still life.

Alongside his paintings, Picasso produced an extraordinary body of graphic work, including lithographs, etchings and linocuts. The works presented by Space Eclectic focus particularly on pieces from the celebrated Toros y Toreros series, created in collaboration with the master printer Fernand Mourlot in 1961. Inspired by the spectacle and symbolism of the bullfight, the series combines expressive line, movement and theatrical composition with Picasso’s unmistakable visual language.

Selected for their clarity, energy and enduring visual presence, these works continue to feel remarkably contemporary within both traditional and modern interiors.

Picasso’s work is held in major museum and private collections throughout the world and remains among the most recognised and influential artistic legacies of the modern era.
