Roy Osborne (1948-)
Chromotopia 29 (Per Pale) (2013)
Acrylic paint on canvas
80 x 80 cm
A warm, optically layered Chromotopia work, built from repeated circular forms over vertical bands of ochre, red, pink and olive. The circles appear to slide across the ground, their divided colour sections creating a subtle sense of movement and depth.
The palette is rich and interior-friendly, with enough softness to make the pattern feel sophisticated rather than hard-edged. It is a balanced, quietly absorbing example of Osborne’s colour-division works.
