A softer, more muted Flying Colours work, with broad curved bands in blue, red, teal and violet floating over a greenish striped ground. The colour feels slightly veiled, giving the painting a quieter and more atmospheric quality than the brighter examples in the series.
The composition still carries strong movement, but the reduced contrast gives it a gentler presence. It would suit an interior where colour is wanted, but with a more subdued and tonal effect.
