Roy Osborne (1948-)
Quarterly X: Crosses (2019)
Acrylic paint on canvas
80 x 80 cm
A precise, maze-like composition in reds, pinks, olive, ochre and pale blue. The repeated angular forms create interlocking crosses and stepped pathways, giving the painting both pattern and depth.
The structure is tightly controlled, but the warm palette keeps the work approachable. It has a strong graphic presence and would suit an interior where abstract art is being used as a source of colour, rhythm and architectural interest.
