Roundel 13: Brownheath (2010)
Oil paint on canvas
102.5 x 102.5 cm
A bright, high-energy roundel composition built from interlocking circular bands in yellow, orange, turquoise, white, violet and pink. The overlapping arcs appear to turn through the square, creating a strong optical pull towards the centre.
At over a metre square, this is one of the more assertive works in the group. It has the scale and colour to carry a wall on its own, while the formal geometry keeps the exuberant palette firmly resolved.
